Just email us the below drawings and one of our team members will get back to you with an estimate:
The columns are manufactured locally in our Fairfield workshop in Fairfield in Sydney’s West.
Every job has different column types, there is a lot of set-up involved with each different type, so for the system to be economically viable, ideally an average of at least 15 columns per type provides for cost efficiency. i.e. a 60-column job could have about 4 types (even 54+2+2+2 could be acceptable in this case). That is why this system works best in multi-storey construction, due to column type repetition. Heights are easily adjustable, so a difference in height does not constitute a difference in type. The difference in type means different overall dimensions and/or different reinforcement configuration inside.
Columns should generally need to be ordered six weeks before they are required onsite. We guarantee a four-week delivery after sign off on shop drawings. However, we understand that in the real world, especially when a job is kicking off, we need to get product to you a bit faster and we’re happy to work with you and do our best to help you achieve your deadlines.
Yes, templates are supplied to ensure the initial starter bars protruding from the slab are in the correct configuration, enabling the preformed columns to slide in place. We’ll supply you with instructions on how to install the templates and we’ll also come out to inspect the first few to make sure it’s been done correctly so that you won’t have any hiccups during your first installations.
Sure, just make sure we are provided with a copy of the reinforcement steel schedule when ordering so that we can make sure it will be processed correctly, and then the steel can be delivered directly to our factory.
Columns are manufactured with 2.9mm galvanized steel sacrificial formwork and reinforced steel cage in accordance with the structural engineer’s specifications.
Column size and steel reinforcement are made to suit engineer and construction design specifications. Columns can be manufactured at any size from 200m x 200m up to 3250m x 350m, larger in some instances depending on Scope. We also have a Wall system that may be practical in instances where AFS and Dincel can’t be used.
We can accommodate just about any column configuration and column type there is. When we get your drawings, we will review the columns prior to quoting and advise you if there are any that can’t be pre-formed.
No problem! Each column is custom designed. We’ve made columns up to 6.5m tall!
Of course, when we quote your job, we will provide you with a delivery fee per drop to the project address. You can choose whether you want to pick up or let us arrange delivery on your behalf.
We can deliver approximately 12-34 per truck depending on the dimensions of the columns and size of the truck.
Sure, we just need at least 48 hours’ notice.
Columns weigh approximately ½ tonne per column depending on size.
Columns can be unloaded by telehandler or we can pre-slung deliveries so that they can be unloaded by Tower Crane.
As an example: Approximately twenty columns can be installed in half a day using a team of two labourers.
We supply design templates so that the starter bars protruding from the base slab are in the correct configuration, enabling the preformed columns to slide over them. Columns are delivered onsite and a lifted into place using a team of two labourers. Once in place, the concrete can be poured and the upper deck can be completed. The starter bars for the upper deck are already in place ready for the next column placement.
Preformed columns have a perfect steel finish ready for rendering or painting.
Columns are charged upon delivery. Payment terms will depend on Client preference and Credit terms agreed upon. We offer 30-day trading accounts.
A One Up representative will provide assistance and instructions to site workers for the first installation of templates and subsequent columns onsite and will check this prior to first column delivery and installation.
It’s in our interest the client knows how to set up the job correctly so that the columns can be installed as easily as they are supposed to. We take it upon us to provide as much training as is needed to achieve the correct outcome.
A One Up representative will always be contactable to answer the client’s, project engineer’s or anyone else’s queries with respect to the One Up system. If there is any concern about the product post-delivery a One Up team member will attend site to inspect and resolve.
